Abstract:

The pandemic of Covid-19 around the world and the serious consequences of its infection made scientists to develop and produce a vaccine against it in order to control this pandemic. For every ten thousand doses of the vaccine, one case of unwanted reaction occurs. In this article, we report the incidence of PIGMENTED purpuric DERMATOSIS disease in a 66-year-old man who received Sinopharm vaccine.

Abstract:

Our case is an 8 years old boy in whom the skin change was found a week after birth. Initially the involvement was limited to limbs but gradually it involved whole body skin. The skin manifestations are composed of hyper and hypo PIGMENTED patch whit in each other. Pathologic finding was compatible with dyschromatosis universals hereditharia. This disease is a rare pigmentary disorder which is characterized with irregular hyper and hypo PIGMENTED macula and patch in a reticular pattern. Skin manifestation can be limited to limbs or can be diffuse in all body skin. The lesions begin mostly several weeks after birth until 6 year of age.

Abstract:

Dowling-Degos disease is a rare condition. It is inherited by an autosomal dominant gene. It usually presents in adult life as small, PIGMENTED, asymptomatic macules in flexural regions. We report a 35-year-old woman with Dowling-Degos disease, in whom the reticular pigmentation confined to the genital area.

Abstract:

Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common skin subtype of T-cell lymphoma. Its underlying cause is not yet clearly understood, and diagnosis might be difficult since MF presents itself with symptoms similar to some other dermatologic disorders. In the current case presentation, we report a 12-year-old female with concurrent hypoPIGMENTED and PIGMENTED purpuric DERMATOSIS-like lesions that underwent skin biopsies and immunohistochemistry study. Microscopic findings of hyperkeratosis and mild acanthosis in addition to epidermotropism of lymphocytes with perivascular and interstitial infiltration led us to the probable diagnosis of MF. Intraepidermal lymphocyte immunohistochemistry assessments were positive for CD3 and CD4 while negative for CD8 and CD7. The peripheral blood smear revealed a normal CD4 to CD8 ratio, and the number of Sé, zary cells detected was insufficient to diagnose Sé, zary syndrome. Therefore, the final diagnosis of MF was made for this young patient.

Abstract:

Introduction: PIGMENTED odontogenic lesions are rare,to date, only 60 cases have been reported in the literature. Melanocytes have been detected in a wide variety of odontogenic lesions. Several studies have discussed melanocyte presence and melanin production in odontogenic lesions, but its origin is still unclear. Therefore, the present systematic review aimed to gather information on such cases. Materials and Methods: An electronic search was performed in PubMed Cen-tral’, s database The search strategy was limited to human studies (case reports and case series) and full-text English articles published till June 2021. Irrelevant articles were omitted. Results: PIGMENTED odontogenic cysts (66. 66%) are more common than pigment-ed tumors. The most common PIGMENTED cyst was calcifying odontogenic cysts (22 cases), followed by odontogenic keratocysts (10 cases). The most common PIGMENTED neoplasm was mixed odontogenic tumors (10 cases). PIGMENTED lesions are more common in the Asian race. Conclusion: The melanocyte presence in odontogenic lesions has no particular prognostic importance. Some possible factors in this field include ethnicity, dental hard tissue induction, neural crest cells, and dental lamina’, s origin. Further documentation of such cases helps to improve the available information on these lesions.

Abstract:

Ganglioneuroblastomas are malignant neoplasms that differentiate more than neuroblastomas but lower than ganglioneuromas. These occur more frequently in children commonly along the symphatic chain but rarely outside of it.Clinical and Radiologic findings can not differentiate these tumors from another benign and malignant tumors of the same site.Definite diagnosis is achieved by histopathologic examination. We report a rare case of ganglioneuroblastoma in a 16 years old girl associated clinically with growth and sexual retardation and microscopically with diffuse brown pigmentation.A brief literature review is also considered

Abstract:

The aim of the present study is to evaluate the effect of ethanolic extract of leaves of Leptadenia RETICULATE leaves (LELR) against Dalton’s Ascitic Lymphoma (DAL) in Swiss Albino mice. DAL cells were injected intraperitoneally (106 cells) to the mice. Two days after cells injection the animals were treated with 200 mg/kg of LELR for 8 days. Five-fluorouracil (20 mg/kg) was used as reference drug. On day 11, cancer cell number, packed cell volume, decrease in tumour weight of the mice, increase in life span and hematological parameters were evaluated and compared with the same parameters in control. A significant increase in the life span and a decrease in the cancer cell number and tumour weight were noted in the tumour-induced mice after treatment with LELR. The hematological parameters were also normalized by LELR in tumour-induced mice. These observations are suggestive of the protective effect of LELR against Dalton’s Ascitic Lymphoma (DAL).
